Survey

What to expect

To better understand how the pandemic affects young adults, we designed the survey in collaboration with youth to ask questions about the following topics. You can skip any questions you do not feel comfortable answering.

  • Demographics

It is important to understand patterns in survey responses to identify which sub-groups need the most support. We ask you questions about yourself, your environment, your education and career, and some of your perspectives and opinions.

  • Health

As public health researchers, we want to inform health care systems and services. To do this, we will ask about your mental health, sexual health, and substance use, to learn more about factors that help or hinder well-being. Additionally, we want to know your personal views about COVID-19 policies and public health measures.

  • Social well-being

Social relationships, financial stability, and access to services are key determinants of health. To better understand how the pandemic has positively and negatively shaped these factors in your life, we will ask questions about your relationships, economic position, and access to health and social services.

It was great to have a survey that has highlighted and recognized some of the issues I have been having through the pandemic. I felt by doing this there was recognition for young people like me who have been struggling with life through the pandemic.
